• Coordinate the annual budget, forecasting and planning process.

Due to the fast expansion of our current business and security product business, we are looking for talented candidates with experiences in security products (Security Camera, DVR, Access Control, etc.) for our Long Island City location.

Grant Electric and Plumbing Supplies is one of the biggest electric and plumbing product wholesale distributors in New York since 1986. Currently we have about 80+ employees, and our annual sales revenue is approximately 50 million dollars. We are located in Long Island City, Queens and are minutes from Manhattan. We also have a branch in South Hackensack and Belleville, NJ.

Requirements

• 1-2yrs exp. in Network/System Integration
• Knowledge of Security Product, Networks, & Communication system
• System level trouble shooting skills
• Understanding on bandwidth communication topology
• Strong Organization skills and follow-up skills combined with strong written and verbal communication abilities
• College degree is preferred, but not required
• Fluent English. Bilingual / Spanish
• Long term commitment

Responsibilities

• Train our own sales staffs and repeating customers who are mostly builders and contractors
• Multi-tasking a major plus, must be able to work both in the field and in the office maintaining files
• Participate in Trade Shows as needed
• Work as a team member planning new business setup

Compensation

• 30k-35k DOE

• Managing employee handbook process and working with IT to continually transmit up-to-date HR information across the company intranet and agreed upon vehicles of communication.
• Identifying and implementing performance management and succession planning tools, including but not limited to; Identifying and tracking high potential employees for leadership positions, generating resumes, replacement tables, and succession analysis reports. Identifying gaps in succession plans, viewing organizational structure, incumbents and candidates.
• Identifying and implementing a formal compensation tool that includes financial ratio analysis (e.g. similar pay for similar work, pay grades, job coding) and pay for performance principals
• Participates in coordinating special employee events (e.g. employee dinner, summer barbeques, company parties)
• Respond to and manage employee relations issues; coach employees and managers on performance management and execution of performance improvement plans; build and foster an environment of trust.
• Performing other related duties as assigned; including but not limited to, administrative functions, special projects.

• Minimum 3-5 years of Human Resources experience
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal guidelines
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio)

• Overall responsibility for the accuracy of our perpetual inventory system records vs. the actual physical levels.
• Develop and institute a cycle count program for primary location as well as remote warehouses.
• Reconcile cycle count and physical inventory results.
• Evaluate systems and procedures related to all movements of inventory.
• Organize and conduct mid-year and year-end physical inventory count.
• Create and implement control procedures, related to the movement of inventory, to assure the maintenance of our systems and accuracy of inventory levels.
• Create and implement tools to report slow moving and damaged inventory and initiate actions to reduce those levels.
• Identify damaged inventory and work with manufacturers to replace item with RGA.

• Bachelors Degree
• 5+ years related experience, preferably in a wholesale environment.
• Proficiency in most Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
• Solid work ethic, exceptional interpersonal/communication skills, patience and professionalism at all times as well as accurate and efficient data entry
